Logistics Specialist
Location: Albuquerque, NM
This Logistics Specialist role, located in Albuquerque, NM is an onsite position
within the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA),
Office of Nuclear Incident Response (NA-84),
Nuclear Emergency Support Team’s (NEST) Standards & Training Program (NSTP).
This role serves to support the NSTP team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop schedule for Department of Energy (DOE) training events with Federal Planners and for logistic planning purposes.
- Create, conduct, and maintain logistical inventories.
- Manage logistic purchasing reconciliation as directed.
- Provide technical support to a broad range of logistics and exercise related policies, meetings, exercises, and responses, including clearance request and badging issues.
- Maintain logistics and federal training records and associated databases.
- Coordinate and track multiple logistical plans, policy, and program initiatives.
- Support the application for Capability Forward as directed.
- Be responsive to non-typical ad-hoc tasking that may require after-hours support.
- Approximate travel requirement up to 10%.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- DOE site access will require the qualified candidate be a U.S.citizen with the ability to obtain a DOE Q security clearance. The candidate’s written consent to conduct a background check for the purposes of obtaining a security clearance will be required as a condition of employment.
- 5 years of logistics experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in Adobe and SharePoint.
- Willingness to work in an environment that changes rapidly.
- Must be an independent, self-starter with excellent organizational skills and an ability to multi-task and be comfortable working with a team of technical experts in varying fields of security and emergency operations disciplines.
- Ability to track and monitor documents from inception to production.
- Ability to perform in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
- Ongoing reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal substances may be conducted as a requirement for ongoing access to DOE sites; the candidate’s written consent to conduct such tests will be required as a condition of employment.
- Able to sit for extended periods and perform work in an office environment, including extensive use of computers, under sometimes stressful conditions.
- Able to work after hours, extended shifts, and on weekends when required during emergency responses and exercises.
- Able to lift 50 pounds, carry your own luggage, and walk up to a quarter of a mile to work locations.

- Active DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance.
